The threat of major incidents in public spaces and private work facilities has become a daily reality. It is estimated that workplace violence costs businesses $36 billion per year, to say nothing of the human costs involved.  Creating employee awareness, building employee resilience, and enhancing guard force capabilities are all key to creating a culture of empowerment.  These fundamentals are necessary components of any program that seeks to address workplace violence.
